24-02-10: Are we running our CSCs beyond office hours ? Here is a CSC running 24 hours in Hubli. Thanks to the staff and GM Hubli Shri Sindagi for his innovative works.

The Dharwad SSA has 24 Hours customer service centre which is working round the clock at Sanchar Sadan Building near Railway Station Hubli manned by our own staff and giving best service to the public. It may be the only SSA and I can say proudly only service provider the BSNL in Telecom sector In India giving 24 Hrs customer service.On 20.02.2010 Dharwad SSA has also opened ATP machine here.

23-02-10: Meeting with CGMT Karantaka:

CS along with CT and others met CGMT Shri P Raghavan on 22-2-2010 and discussed about ..

(1) the proceedure of request/long stay transfers and the new approach of distributing the SDEs/JTOs to SDCA headquarters in Mobile Services. CS appraised CGM that this thinking should be extended to the highier cadre also as it is very much affecting the effective managment keeping all officers of the cadre of GM/DGMs stationed at Bangalore controlling upto Bidar. We proposed that these officers also be distributed geographically which will improve efficiency.

(2) GM Admn Shri Chandramouly present in the meeting while recognising our plea of belated relieving on long stay transfer in Bijapur/Belgaum by the administration has siad that the actaul dates of relieving are being collected from other SSAs also to take a final decesion on this issue in addition to fixing the responsibility for such lapses. We have made our stand clear that administrative delay should not be hurdle to the executives

(3) We have also appraised CGMT that non maintaining of uniformity in relieving the executives especially from BGTD is creating lot of imbalances in the staff strength of other SSAs and hence proper action in the matter.

(4) We have requested for an early issue of TBP orders for remaining SSAs. GM admn explained the delay because of sending of CRs/eligibility list to corporate office in the interveining time.

19-02-10:CS and CT met GM Admn Shri Chandramouly and protested against the orbitarary date 30-4-2008 as the cut off date for counting the 2 years service on request transfers of long stay cases when the fact is that SSAs have relieved them in the month of May 2008. We have produced the relieving orders of Belgaum and Bijapur as the examples. We have put our demand to give adequate time by considering the actual date of relieving of the executives as the delay counts on the administrative side and not due to SDEs late joining.

CS today met GM MS Dev Shri Arunkumar and protested against delay/denial of giving the informal meeting to the Branch Secretary MS for the agenda given 6 months back and other issues related to SDEs of GM MSD Office Bangalore. The SDEs/DE of MSD office were also present in the meeting. SNEA strongly protested the discriminative attitude of the management in many issues. CS categorically mentioned the non recogniation of the works of SDEs in the SSAs who have sucessfully completed the phase 4.5 project and the USO installations even with the sluggish and inexperienced local vendors while execution of the works.GM assured to resolve all the issues of office and also will fix the date of informal meeting.GM also clarified that he has very well appriciated the works of our SDEs during the execution of the project .

17-02-10:CS along with CT met Shri Chandramouly GM Admn and discussed about (1) the time bound upgradations of remaining SSAs and left out cases of BGTD. The orders in r/o Bijapur, Tumkur, Karwar, Mandya, Shimoga, Madikeri and Gulbarga are likely to be issued shortly. The orders in r/o Bidar, Bellary, Mobile Services and CO and left out cases are under process. (2) Publication of request transfer list and the cut off datefor long stay transfer cases . The Executives who have been transferred on long stay basis in 2008 and relieved in May 2008 due to administrative delay are requested to give details to the CS positively on 18-2-10 to take up the matter with Circle administration.(3) There is a proposal of the management to post SDEs in mobile services to the SDCA headquarters also for better BTSs. DSs are requested to give their views on this after discussion with the members..

Flash:The much awaited 3G launch is scheduled to beld at Bangalore on 19th Feb 2010 and the Hon MOC Shri A Raja is likely to inaugurate the same.

17-02-10:SNEA Bhavan: The 1st meeting of building committee consisting of CS,CT, AGS, DS BGTD, DS DK TD and DS BM is held at SNEA Bhavan at 1300 hours of 15-2-2010. All the committee members attended the meeting. The contractor for the building work is going to be finalised this week and we are expecting the acutal construction work next week.

The committee appeals all the District Secretaries so far not paid the donation to send the building fund donation to Circle Treasurer immediately . The other DSs who have collected the fund after CEC are also requested to immediately deposit to circle account. This will help us to include all the components of the work while making it over the to the contractor.

We are thankful to the comrades who have given individual donations to the building fund, list of whom is published on the link in the right side of this page. Those who have not paid this donation are requested to send the cheque/DD deawn in favour of "SNEA(I) Karnataka" immediately.

The Branch Secretary's monthly meeting of BGTD was held on 16th Feb and it is attended by the CS and AGS also. The unwarranted harrassment and pressure exerted by the staff on our officers was the main issue of discussion and it was resolved to take appropriate immediate steps with the management to curb such inceidents.DS BGTD also appealed all the Branch Secretaries to collect the balance donation of building fund immediately as we have to start the construction work immediately.

SNEA has already taken up the case with GM Admin to effect the transfer of all 31 candidates and to extend to next WL to the extent of cancellations in these 31 cases. Malleshwaram Branch Meeting was held on 4-2-2010 and was addressed by CS, AGS,DS BGTD and other leaders. Very useful discussion about the difficulties faced by the Out door, Cable and Broad band activities took place and will be taken up with BGTD management. Com Malakondaiah, Com Narayanappa and Com Ganesh were elected as President, Branch Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

Vijayanagar Branch Meeting was held on 30-1-2010 was addressed by CS, AGS,DS BGTD and other leaders. The outdoor executives have expressed the innovative method adopted by them in the sales and marketing. Especially the works undertaken by Com B Ramesh (9448378900) in the rural area was a roll model to achieve our goals with availabe infra and poor management support. Other comrades can take his ideas. Com K Shivanna, Com K Muralidhara and Com K Gurunath were elected as President, Branch Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

BGTD Civil Elec and Arch Branch Meeting was held on 24-1-2010 was addressed by CS, ACS Ravishankar, DS BGTD and other leaders. Very useful discussion on civil and electrical issues including the BSNL transfer and promotion policy were held. Com Vijaykumar, Com Harish and Com Shridhar were elected as President, Branch Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

04-02-2010::Circle Secretary along with Circle Treasurer met Shri P Raghavan CGMT Karnataka and discussed about..

(1) Discrimination to Shimoga SSA comrades in issue of SDE to DE Officiating orders and protested against the stand taken by the admininstration in the matter. CGM assured to look into the matter personally and take corrective action in the matter immediately.

(2) Abnormal delay in attending the CDMA faults in Chickmaglur SSA.. CGM assured immediate action in the matter.

(3) Kondadakoppa GSM BTS failure in Belgaum SSA and negligence in the maintenance of BTSs and non provision of basic infra/security arragnement in the smooth mtce of NBSNL sites.Non implementation of verticle restructuring orders of BCG in true spirit in SSA. CGM assured positive action in the matter.

(4) Delay in the commissioning of GSM BTSs Phase 5.1 GSM project in Karnataka. CGM has informed that all the issues and pending AT points are resolved and good progress is expected now onwards.

GM Admn Shri Chandramouly was also present in the meeting.
