In the afternoorn Com Nagavi CS along with Com R B Joshi, Convenor Jt forum, Com Virupakshaiah VP BGTD, Com K L Shivanna President SNEA Chickmaglaur and Com Sharma Branch Secretary DNW met Shri Narashimhan GM Network Operation Centre Bangalore and discussed about the difficulties experienced in the smooth maintaining of the broad band services. In the evening CS addressed the branch meeting of DNW Bangalore and explained about the present CHQ/Circle issues while Com Joshi sought the co-operation and guidance of the DNW executives to achieve better quality of BB services.

BSNL launches Pre-paid Broad Band Services at a colourful function at Ashok Hotel Bangalore. CMD BSNL Shri Kuldeep Goyal launched the services while CGMT Karnataka Shri P Raghavan highlighted the features and facilities of it. In another function in the afternoon arranged by QA circle Bangalore CMD gave away the the best manufacturer awards to BSNL venders.
In the afternoon the team of SNEA leaders comprising of Com M S Gombi AGS, Com S B Nagavi CS, Com M S Hiremugudur DS BGTD, Com Javali AGS BGTD, Com R B Joshi JF convenor, Com S K Hiremath and H Y Andeli CS AIBSNLEA met CMD BSNL Shri Kuldeep Goyal at Ashoka Hotel and discussed the following issues. (1) Allotment of sufficient JTOs in the ongoing recruitment (2) Long pending rule 8 waiting list in JTO cadre in Karnataka Circle (3) E1a,E2a scale approval (3) ITS absorption issue (4) Further regularisation of Adhoc DEs (5) status of NOFA and other service matters. SNEA has thanked the CMD for his patient hearing. Shri P Raghavan, CGMT KTK, Shri V Govindaraj CGMT QA, Shri Gosh PGM BGTD and Shri Chandramouly GM Admn KTK were also present in the meeting.
CS and CT Sureshkumar met GM Admn and HRD and protested against the delay in issuing the JTO to SDE Officiating orders. GM Admn assured that in case CRs not received from BG TD DPC will be done and orders in respect of other SSAs.We have also discussed regarding the relieving of the SDE/JTOs under orders of request transfers.

CS met DGM Admn/AGM HRD and discussed,
(1) Rule 8 transfers: Circle Office writes to concerned circles in r/o 28 ( i.e. upto Sl no.37 of provisional list viz.,Com Shrivardhini )rule 8 cases except 3 cases for want of documents ( a. Com P V Shashikumar Part B and rule 8 declaration, b. Com Venubabu Yarajana report from BDTD and c. Com Revathi Sambashivan CO being cancelled). SNEA has been continuously persuing the case and finally 28 cases have been cleared. We are thankful to CGM/GM Admn Karnataka in this regard. SNEA will persue for the remaining cases also.
(2) JTO to SDE Officiating: 35 CRs awaited from BGTD. Officiating can be issued only on receipt of these CRs and completion of DPC there on.

District Conference of DK TD and Chickmaglur SSA.
Mangalore(DK TD) :: The District Conference of DK TD was held at Pattumudi Soudha, Bhallal Bhag Mangalore with a representation of more than 125 members in a grand way on 10-10-2009 under the Presidentship of Com C D Naik. DS Com Chandrahas Ullal in his report narrated the leading role of SNEA in the developmental works of the district. His contributions were recognised by all the members. 10 retired executive comrades were falicitated on this occassion. Com Sathynaran Puranik ACS addressed the gathering and explained the orgnisational matters.S B Nagavi CS Karnataka attended the conference. CS in his address congratulated the executives of DK TD, especially the SNEA members for their role in their achievement of in the field of sales and marketiang. DK TD stands first in the sale of SIM cards compared to its geography. He had explained all the CHQ and circle level activities of the association and the stand of SNEA w.r.t the ongoing MTRR and DGM recruitments and answered the querries of members. Chickmaglur SSA :: On 11-10-2009 the 4th District Conference of Chickmaglur was held at TRC Chiuckmaglur with a representation of more than 70 members in a grand way under the Presidentship of Com K L Shivanna . DS Com K N Thyagaraja in his report focussed on the service matters and thanked Com S B Nagavi for his vibrant works during his tenure at District Secretary and for his co-operation as CS KTK also. The Conference was attended by Com V Mukundan, Circle President , Com S B Nagavi, CS KTK, Com Sureshkumar Circle Treasurer and Com Venkatesh Murthy Ex DS MY. While Com Murthy explained the marketing aspects, Shri Sureshkumar advised the members to give feedback to circle organisation in respect of quality of stores and other project status so that circle organisation will take timely action with the circle administration and Com Mukundan expressed the need of effective functioning of the joint forum to address the common issues at circle/SSA level. Today (8-9-2009) BG TD celebrated the BSNL day and Shri Ghosh PGM Bangalore wished all the employees on this occassion and thanked for the works being done to get successive best maintained SSA award 2nd time. Everbody were very much touched by his advice of punctuality, health care and facing future challange of business development in the coming days. Later respected PGM held the joint forum meeting and discussed about the speedy execution of OBs in respect of BB and New connections with all the unions and associations SNEA was represented by Com Nagavi CS, Com Hiremugdur DS BGTD, Com Joshi Jt Forum Convenor and Com S K Hiremath. SNEA really thanks beloved PGM Shri Gosh for the interest and efforts he is taking in the companies tasks and his faith in the human resources.

Joint Forum Consisting of SNEA, AIBSNLEA and BSNLEU meets CGMT Karnataka at 1600 hours in the Conference Hall and discussed about the FLOOD situation in North Karnataka. The JF communicated its resolve to donate one day salary to flood victims. CGMT appriciated the initiative of the JF and thanked for the help being extended in a crisis. CGMT appriciated the timely restoration works like OFC breakdown etc taken up by the BSNL staff and officers especially the STR wing. The JF was represented by Comrades Gundanna CS BSNLEU, H Y Andeli CS AIBSNLEA and S B Nagavi CS SNEA and V Mukundan CP SNEA and others.
At 17oo hours CS, CP Com V Mukundan and CT Com Sureshkumar met GM Admin and discussed about .,,
(1) Rule 8 transfers: G M Admin stated that action is being taken to write to respective circles in r/o candidates who have submited the declarations i.e. Part A and Part B. In respect of certain candidates still the formats are awaited. We therefore request that the candiates appearing in the provisional list may ensure thaat these formats are submitted to circle office immeidately.
(2) JTO to SDE Officiating: CS protested about the avoidable delay in issuing the officiating oarders. GM Admin clarified that still CRs in r/o 35 JTOs from BGTD are awaited. Immediately on getting theses CRs further action will be taken.
(3) Time bound promotions: The process of timebound promotions is on and all the relavant records will be kept ready and action will be taken as per the corporate office guidlines.
Circle Office celebrates 9th BSNL day on 1-10-2009. CGM Karnataka Shri P Raghavan while greeting the gathering, explainded the vision of Karnataka Circle in developing its network and sought the support and co-operation in implementation of ongoing projects. PGM Finance and GM Admn also addressed the gathering. The Circle Secretataries of SNEA(I) ( Com S B Nagavi), AIBSNLEA ( Com H Y Andeli) and BSNLEU ( Com Gundanna) were invited to address on this occasion.
CS SNEA Karnataka in his address stressed for the present need of the company in (1) curbing the broad band dissconnections by implementing the Corporate Office guidlines, (2) maintaining quality of service in land line and broadband services with timely supply of required infra (3) Continuous optimisation of the GSM network for better marketing (4) ensuring of timely and good quality supply of NIC, EVDO cards, FWTs to support the marketing teams to bring better business (5) importance of hirarchial monitering of all the activities and (6) cost cutting by modernising the meeting through vedeo conferences, measures like distribution of telephone bills/revenue collection through DSAs who can sell our products along with this fixed income and the innovative measures like sale of products through employees as being experimented by GM Hubli....
